Larsen Liverpool have today announced the winners of their two latest competitions, based in the mountain village of Tavertet, in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees in Spain.

CLIFF-EDGE HOTEL COMPETITION

The large-scale Tavertet Cliff-Edge Hotel Competition asked designers to design an inspiring sustainable hotel that would sit high in the Pre-Pyrenees mountains gazing across the dramatic landscape within the Les Guilleries natural park, Catalonia.

The 1st Prize is awarded to "SETSUZOKU", by 101 Design Studio - Urman Haider, Hossam Anwar, Ammara Majeed.

The 2nd Prize is awarded to "INNERMOST", by Ngo Duc Hieu, Nguyen Phuc Vinh, Chu Minh Duc.

5 entries were awarded the title of Honourable Mentions.

SUSPENDED SLEEPING POD COMPETITION

The smaller-scale Suspended Sleeping Pod Competition asked designers for a 2-person sleeping pod that can be suspended on a cliff face or balance on a mountain ridge. The fully sustainable and self sufficient design should provide a comfortable, safe space to sleep 2 people and a dog.

The 1st Prize is awarded to "HARMONÍA EN LAS ALTURAS" by Emanuele Cipolla, Raúl López Andrés, Manuel Splendore

The 2nd Prize is awarded to "THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE SENSUAL" by Victor Migirov, Nil Marianov, Leonid Shvets

The 3rd Prize is awarded to "CASITA EN LAS ESTRELLAS" by Lauren Mendoza, Logan Smith
